5月29日，以“绿色、低碳、发展、创新——面向未来的城市合作”为主题的世界市长对话·上海暨2025年上海国际友好城市合作论坛在上海开幕，来自22个国家的26个友城代表团约100位嘉宾应邀出席，重点探讨绿色低碳城市治理和青年创新活力激发等内容，旨在激发合作潜力，深化合作内涵。
国际友好城市一直是上海最重要的国际资源。当前，上海已和59个国家的95个城市建立了友城关系，成为中国全球“朋友圈”最大的城市之一。
上海将积极搭建友城合作网络的海内外平台，加强人文交流，强化青少年互动，增进彼此了解，让上海和友城的人民越走越近、越走越亲。
